Plast use own unique method of education to achieve educational goals. Unlike most scouting organizations in the world, where membership ends at the age of 25, there is no age limit for membership in Plast.
In Ukraine, queues for Plast continue to grow, and so many young Ukrainians are forced to wait to become part of the Plast family. Therefore, one of the priority tasks for the organization today is to attract and train educators who will be able to work with children so that young Ukrainians can get a quality environment for development and acquire skills in teamwork, leadership, self-development, innovation, responsibility, etc.
For several years now, Winner has been financing the training of teachers of Plast, the Ukrainian scout organization.
Why teachers? Because the children in Plast need mentors - volunteers who go through special educational programs.
With the support of Winner, in July-September 2021, 6 trainings were held for 68 volunteers in Kyiv, Lviv and Transcarpathia. In addition, for the first time the training was held in Odesa, where 25 teachers from the south were able to undergo training. It means that about 300 children will be able to become “Plastun” and will receive wise mentors.
We are glad that they will be able to explore the world safely, find like-minded people, feel their national identity, learn responsibility, leadership and love for nature.
These children will form our future and develop Ukraine.
