When we learned about the Relay Race For Good among companies launched by 1+1 channel, we eagerly joined the initiative. Throughout March 2019, every weekend, Winner team of volunteers did good deeds together.
On March 3, we participated in the educational and vocational guidance event for students, the School of Heroes. The children, who are already striving to make their dreams and ideas come true, presented about 20 projects to Winner experts to get feedback, advice, and maybe even support for their project. There were present a team of web designers, future film directors, photographers, actors, models and journalists, and a production team working on a series about teenagers and their problems, animation and logo developers, and mobile game developers, and future restaurateurs, and owners of a dance supply store... And, of course, sports and fashion bloggers! Some projects Winner will keep in mind and may even consider their support within framework of corporate social responsibility in the future.
On March 16, the second activity within Relay Race for Good with Winner was held – a visit to the Center for children affected by cancer Dacha – a bright and positive place, where there were 8-10 children under rehabilitation. They were so active that they made us run a little! Drawing, coloring cups, plasticine modelling, creating figures of kinetic sand, playing twister, crocodile and playstation, and dancing... A truly positive and active day in the company of real little heroes who charge everyone with their life energy!
On March 23, a week later, 20 Winner employees visited Gostomel Animal Shelter and brought tools, medicines and other useful items. More than 800 dogs and 150 cats live in the shelter. The volunteers cleaned open-air cages, chopped firewood, raked up old grass, carried sacks of wood chips, laundered cat rooms and, of course, hugged with shelter residents
Despite the boundless love and dedication of shelter managers, we really wish that all animals found their home and families. And in the meantime, we will try to help them.
On March 30, a special celebration of the global Earth Hour took place: cleaning the Nyvky Park and planting trees, became the final event of the Relay Race for Good with Winner! We collected over 30 bags of garbage, sorted and gave glass and plastic bottles for recycling, and made our country a bit cleaner. Also the same day we planted three oak trees and 30 jasmine bushes.
