One of the key tasks of the program is to teach children school subjects through architecture, combining the school curriculum with creativity. And the mission is to develop children's creative thinking and skills that they will need in the future. Since 2017, the non-governmental organization "Archikidz" has been holding the annual All-Ukrainian Festival of Architecture for ARCHIKIDZ children!
This summer, in 20 days, from June 27 to July 23, participants created 20 unique architectural projects. A separate team worked on each project. This year, despite the quarantine restrictions the children's architectural festival took place, but in a new format. The master classes were held off / online in the large pavilion at VDNG Complex, where every day was filled with an atmosphere of creativity and inspiration.
This year the event was dedicated to the theme "Nature in the city. Living together", so among the projects you could see an alternative VDNG complex, a city on the water, vertical playgrounds in the middle of the park and more. All projects were created by teams of children aged 7 to 12 years. The role of teachers had traditionally been given to modern architects, urban planners and designers.
